FREE DIAGNOSTIC

The first number in any business case

Línea Base calculates what a process in your operation is costing you today, using your numbers. It's where any business case starts: without that figure, projecting savings is guesswork. It takes between 25 and 40 minutes, and the report is yours.

What this is

You pick a process from your operation. You answer questions about how it works today, what volume it handles and how much time it consumes. At the end you get a report with what that process is costing you per year.

The number comes from your data, not from our benchmarks. Every figure in the report traces back to something you declared, and the report tells you explicitly how reliable it is based on what you were able to answer.

Those questions (how much you'd save, what an implementation would cost, how long it would take) require data this exercise doesn't have. Answering them here would be making things up, and we'd rather give you a number you can defend than one that sounds good.

Why it's worth it

The number is almost never calculated

Most operations know a process is expensive without knowing how much. That figure doesn't show up in any report, because seeing it means cross-checking information that lives in separate systems.

It tells you what isn't worth touching

The report includes an explicit section on what you shouldn't automate in your case, with the reasoning. It's the part nobody writes because it doesn't sell.

It declares its own limits

Every report comes with a confidence grade and the three assumptions that, if wrong, change the result. If it only works to size an order of magnitude, it says so.

It's built to take to a committee

Along with the report you get a one-page annex with the number, where it comes from, and five questions to ask anyone proposing to solve it. Us included.

How it works

  1. 1

    Context

Your company, your sector, and which process you'll analyze. Two minutes.

  2. 2

    The process

We reconstruct how it works today, step by step. You can upload your documentation if you have it, or describe it.

  3. 3

    The numbers

Volume, time, people, rework. If you don't know one, you flag it and the report declares it as an assumption.

  4. 4

    Clarifications

A maximum of five questions about what moves the result most.

  5. 5

    Evidence

Optional. If you have an export with timestamps, the confidence grade goes up. Without it, the report still works.

  6. 6

    Your report

You see it on screen and a PDF copy goes to your email.

What people ask us

Why is it free?

Because the number that comes out of this is what you need to decide whether hiring anyone is worth it, us or someone else. If the number doesn't justify an investment, we'd rather you knew before we talk.

How accurate is it?

It depends on what you're able to answer. The report carries an explicit confidence grade: high if you uploaded data with timestamps, medium if they're your estimates, low if the system had to estimate for you. In that last case it works to size an order of magnitude, not to decide, and the report says so.

Do I have to upload company information?

No. You can complete the diagnostic by answering questions alone. If you do upload something, upload only what you can share without asking anyone's permission. And there's an explicit list of what we don't accept: personal data, contracts, financial statements, credentials.

Will you call me afterwards?

Only if you ask us to. We ask for your details to send you the report. If you want to talk, there's a way to say so at the end.

Can I analyze more than one process?

One process per diagnostic. Analyzing two at once produces an average number that's useless for deciding anything. If you have several, start with the one that hurts most.
